In December 2022, Vilnius College of Technologies and Desing hosted training sessions on future forecasting and design thinking for teachers and administration. The training was led by Justina Klyvienė, the founder of Future Leadership and an innovation leadership expert.
The main objective of the training was to analyse what the future could look like and to encourage the organisation to take actions that would lead to the creation of such future, as well as to improve the quality of decision-making of the management team and the organisation’s ability to manage change by assessing different potential future scenarios. Teams of lecturers and administration analysed and assessed future trends and their impact on the College. Participants discussed which scenario is the most beneficial for the organisation, what actions need to be taken, and generated ideas on what relevant study programmes and other services the College needs to develop in order to remain competitive.
