Agrovision 2024, held from June 19-21, brought together agricultural professionals, scientists, and anyone interested in farming and sustainable agricultural practices. This event is one of the largest agricultural technology and innovation exhibitions in Lithuania and is traditionally hosted in the Dotnuva Municipality, Kėdainiai District.
With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, representatives from the Vilnius College of Technologies and Design (VTDK) participated in the exhibition by presenting their project, “Innovation Laboratories for Climate Action – ILCA” (ILCA). During the event, a discussion titled “How Do We Want to Adapt to Climate Change?” was organized, featuring Ana Aleknavičienė, a Project Specialist at VTDK, and Dr. Diana Lukminė, a Senior Researcher at the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (LAMMC). They presented the Innovation Lab, developed jointly by VTDK and LAMMC as part of the ILCA project, and discussed the Lab’s concept and its ongoing activities.
Participants were also introduced to the idea of an Eco-neighbourhood, which sparked a rich discussion about the key components of sustainable settlements. We would like to thank the following participants for their interesting insights and engaging discussion: Arvydas Rutkauskas, Head of UAB Zeldynėlis; Daiva Klimavičienė, a landscape engineer; Vaiva Mickevičienė, a lecturer at VTDK; and Joanna Lapkovskaja, Head of the International Relations and Projects Division at VTDK.
Here are some memorable moments from the discussion.
